Angela Gaughan

Angela Gaughan F.W.A.S.I lives in Nottinghamshire but was born in Wales. She studied portrait painting with Andrew Vicari, a former student of the prestigious Slade School of Fine Art. Angela subsequently trained alongside Gareth Hawker RA.

“She has a unique style and technique in depicting wildlife examples which she brought along included polar bears, tigers and wolves. Her subject was a Red Squirrel, the detailed sketch work she had already prepared. Her painting brushstrokes were remarkable and her attention detail was remarkable. A thoroughly enjoyable presentation though with lots of friendly chit-chat and tips galore about pet portraiture.”  Blog by Paul Lockton.
